June 23rd – A demon-possessed man is healed

Steve Parkinson preaches on the healing of the man who called himself “Legion” because he was possessed by a multitude of evil spirits (Luke 8:26-39). The story may seem rather alien to us in our modern western society, but there are still plenty of evils in the world, in all spheres of life, that confront us either in the media, or in our own personal experience. If we feel overwhelmed by the problems and frustrations that confront us, then we should remember the story of the demon-possessed man. If Jesus could overcome his situation, then he can surely overcome anything that we have to face.
