July 29th – Hidden treasure

Tim Lee, who with his wife Kate and family work with the Jigsaw Project in Manila, looks at the parable of the treasure hidden in the field (Matthew 13:44-46). He asks “What is this treasure?” and goes on to define the treasure as “knowing God as our Father, Saviour and Friend, and being part of God’s family”.

Tim goes on to tell how the Jigsaw project is sharing the treasure of God’s kingdom with poor and disadvantaged children and adults in Manila, providing care, health provision and training opportunities. He also thanked the church for the support they have received, especially for all the knitted blankets and teddy bears (they took our latest offering of blankets and bears with them), and help to supply sewing machines which provide training and work opportunities for the women.
