February 3rd – Hope for the nations
Rev Alan Bing looks at the prophecy of Ezekiel (Ezekiel 43:27-44:4). With the people of Israel suffering times of hardship and exile in Babylon, Ezekiel’s vision provides hope for the future restoration of Israel, and the promise of the coming Prince of Peace, who will give hope not just to Israel, but to the nations of the world. The presentation of Jesus in the Temple at Jerusalem (Luke 2:22-40) fulfills the prophecy.
As Ezekiel’s vision gave hope to the people of his day, so should we be offering hope to our nation, and to the nations of the world through the message of Christ.
