December 16th – The Lord your God is with you (Advent 3)

Matt Topping preaches from Zephaniah 3:14:20, and Luke 3:7-18. Although Zephaniah’s prophecy condemns the Kingdom of Judah for their sin and idolatry, God promises them that “the Lord our God is with you”. Advent reminds us that God can bring the brightest spark of hope into the darkest situations. The Luke reading tells of John the Baptist reminding the people that they must be ready for the coming of Jesus the Messiah. “The Lord your God is with your… Are you ready?”
