August 18th – Interpreting the present times
Steve Parkinson reflects on Luke 12:4-56. In today’s world we have all kinds of technical advances to help us predict the weather, and to project future possibilities regarding the economy, climate change, and other topics. But we neglect the signs of God’s work of salvation in the world at our peril. God sent his son, Jesus, to save us from the evils and temptations of the world we live in. We need to listen to him and understand his purpose for our lives.
