QUIET GARDEN MOVEMENT
The Quiet Garden Movement nurtures access to outdoor space for prayer, reflection and rest in a variety of settings, such as private homes, churches, schools and hospitals, and creates opportunities for people to experience silence, restfulness and contemplative practices. It flows from the example of Jesus’s withdrawal to natural places to pray, and his invitation, “Come with me to a quiet place and get some rest”. (Mark 6:31)
Thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers, Ulverston Parish Church has joined the movement and aims to provide an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the beauty and peace of the church gardens through the various seasons of the year.
Parking is available to the right of the church entrance, behind the Parish Office. If you visit on a Friday, join us for a coffee and chat in church between 10am and 12am.
