There is also a PDF version of this notice sheet, with additional graphics and full colour, which you may prefer for your own use or to pass on to friends and neighbours.

This weeks Bible readings:

  • Deuteronomy 8:1-10
  • Mark 1.9-15

Want to listen to the sermon again? Go to our SERMONS PAGE.

Ulverston Parish Church is inviting you to come and explore a Bible story trail in the stunning church gardens. Old Testament heroes and Jesus’ life events will pop up around the grounds as a series of visual clues… can you identify which story is which? Listen to, or read the stories using an interactive QR code.
Do you have a toy that doesn’t mind the rain? “God told Noah to take pairs of every kind of animal, insect and bird on to the ark to keep them safe from the flood.” Yes – we have an Ark!
Bring your (or your pet’s) stuffed, plastic, rubber, metal or homemade toy to place on Noah’s Ark ramp! Bring it with you, or drop it off at the church office anytime! Don’t forget to put your name & telephone number on it so we can return it to you!
Over the month there will be nine installations to appear. Everyone is welcome to take part in the trail or to simply enjoy the peace and beauty of the church gardens.

Stories Shared!

A bigger than life “Thank You!” to 28 households whose helping hands created our Bible Stories in the Garden. Can you find YOUR animal, bug, bird or reptile on the ark? If not – Get thee to the garden and bring a critter with you!

Birdie Boxes Abound!

Eco-Church would like to thank the two families who installed 6 bird nesting boxes on Saturday, (CV19 appropriately). As you tour the Bible
Stories, keep an eye out for them. We hope they will be chirping with wee winged families soon!

LiveLent offers daily reflections to encourage us to think about our calling, how to share our faith, and to reflect on the difference Christ makes in our lives. You can order the booklet from Church House Publishing, sign up for daily emails, or download the free App. The App has an audio version and a family activity. You can also make free calls through Daily Hope on 0800 804 8044 to listen to the reflection.

Jen Cox will be licenced as a reader on Saturday 27th February via a Zoom service. The link for this will be made available in due course.
Please pray for Jen as she takes this step in her ministery at UPC.

Hannah and Isaac Fishwick would like to give a massive thank you to everyone for their well wishes, VERY generous donation and voucher for a meal for two for them to enjoy before the baby arrives.
