Connect groups: Make friends and find community,
We want everyone who comes to Ulverston Parish Church to feel welcomed, included and cared for.
The best way to get to know people better is through joining one or more small groups, known as
Connect Groups.
Connect Groups help us:
• Connect and make friends.
• Connect with the life of the church and the church community.
• Connect to God; growing as followers of Jesus and helping others come to know Him for
themselves.
Home Connect Groups
There are 12 weekly groups that meet in people’s homes. We support each other, pray and study
the bible together and enjoy socialising over meals, coffee and the occasional outing.
Interest-based Connect Groups
There is a men’s mountain biking and outdoor pursuits group, a ladies’ walking group, a gardening
group, and a parish fellowship group.
Service-based Connect Groups
There are Connect Groups that support the life of the church – bell ringing, musicians, flower
arrangers and more.
There are also Connect Groups that look outwards into the community, such as the Open the Book
group going into schools, the Friday Coffee and Chat group and groups for younger people.
