Children and young people

Jesus loved and valued children and we do too. We want to welcome and encourage children and their families as they grow in faith, but since we can’t worship together in the church building we are meeting online. If you are interested in any of these groups or activities email children@ulverstonparishchurch.org to find out how to get involved.

Junior Church

During our 10:30 Sunday service, children have their own Junior Church.
We have two groups, split by age. During our time together we use games, crafts, interactive stories and all sorts of other fun to help us explore God’s message.

All-Age Worship

Every second Sunday, the children stay in the main church building for a fun and interactive all-age service.

Toddler Group: Weds 10-11:30 (in term time)

Every Wednesday we welcome parents and carers to our toddler group.

Vision Youth Club: Weds 3.15 – 4.45pm (in term time)

For children in school years 5 and 6. We explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus in our day-to- day life, whilst chatting, playing a few games and relaxing together.

Schools Work

Our partnership with Church Walk School means we have an infant bible club called Sparks! and a junior lunch discussion club called Big Questions.
We also do regular assemblies in both Church Walk and Sir John Barrow schools, organise church visits and run lessons exploring different topics surrounding faith that fit into the national curriculum.

Any excuse for a Party!

The church calendar is packed full of celebrations and we love to make the most of them. Look out for our pancake parties, Easter celebrations, pumpkin parties and more to come. View calendar.

Youth work: 11- 18 years old

H2O

On Sundays during the 10:30 service, years 7-9 meet for the H2O group. We play games,
discuss the bible and pray.

Energise: Tues 7:00 – 8:30pm

We look at key themes young people face and what the biblical perspective is. There are separate groups for years 7-9 and years 9-13. Afterwards, from 8.30-9pm, you can hang out in the BASEment for tuck shop, XBox, table tennis and pool.

Social activities

Once a term we have a fun social activity and young people are encouraged to invite their wider groups of friends along.

Empower youth service

Once a month, we have a lively youth service with inspiring teaching and worship, with the aim of empowering and emboldening our young people.

We take the safety of our children and young people very seriously and have comprehensive safeguarding and protection policies in place. All our volunteers and staff have completed DBS checks.
